The SortedMap interface extends Map The entries in the map are maintained in sorted order based on the keys Sorted maps allow very efficient manipulations of submaps (in other words, subsets of a map) SortedMap is generic and is declared as shown here: interface SortedMap<K, V> Here, K specifies the type of keys, and V specifies the type of values In addition to the methods specified by Map, SortedMap adds several of its own They are summarized in Table 5-9 Several methods throw a NoSuchElementException when no items are in the invoking map A ClassCastException is thrown when an object is incompatible with the elements in a map A NullPointerException is thrown if an attempt is made to use a null object when null is not allowed in the map An IllegalArgumentException is thrown if an invalid argument is used

To properly use Compressor 2, you have to identify the system for which the Audio bitstream is being created: DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, or Generic AC-3 The proper selection for DVD is always DVD-Video (see Figs 6-61 and 6-62)

Audio Coding Mode defines the channel configuration of the Dolby Digital bitstream you are encoding It can vary from Mono to 51 with or without LFE NOTE that Dolby denotes the channel configuration as a two digit series, ie, 3/2, or 2/0, where the first digit indicates the number of Front Channels (1, 2, or 3) and the second digit indicates the number of surround channels (0, 1, or 2) (see Fig 6-63 top image) Note that most DVD-Video soundtracks are either Stereo (2/0) or 51 Surround (3/2 w/LFE) Select the desired Audio Coding Mode popup to indicate the number of channels you are encoding Standard Stereo is 2/0 (L, R) Some programs you encode may be 51 or other channel configurations (3/2 + LFE in Dolby-speak)
